The Nature Reserve, Justin's First School Performance at LIFE

by Karen Dunn | October 16, 2010

I forgot to take pictures again of our Spanish school.  I'll try to remember to take them next week.  I even told my teacher that I needed to take pictures for my blog and we both forgot at the end of our class.

Here is a picture of Jared reading a Kindle.  The Kindle is getting a lot of use here.

This past weekend we went to the Nature Reserve that is a two minute walk from our place.  We saw the monkeys, another kind of animal, and two people doing the zip-line.  I am petrified to do the zip-line, but I feel like I need to do it before we leave Guatemala.

The monkeys are in the background.

Tuesday after school, Lesvia and I went back to the Nature Reserve to look at their Butterfly Garden.  We only saw four butterflies.  When we were here last February, the boys saw a ton of them.  We'll go back another day and see if we have better luck.

Justin wanted to be a butterfly.

Today, the school had a general assembly.  Parents were not invited, but we happened to be at the school and watched Justin and his class perform "Leaves, branches, trunk and roots, trunk and roots", not "Head, shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes."  He was very cute.
