Helping out at LIFE School - November 17, 2010
by Karen Dunn | November 29, 2010
I have been helping out the 1st/2nd grade teacher, Emily, and Ryan's teacher, Brooke (3rd/4th grade), on Wednesdays for about an hour or so. I have been working with the first graders, while Emily works with the second graders. Today, Nov 17th, I started working one-on-one with a first grader. I have been working with all the first graders together. I admire these teachers!! It isn't easy teaching a group of kids at all different levels.
Brooke has a student in her class that does not speak English. I've been working with him one-on-one. We are trying to understand each other.
Nat's parents stopped by the school while I was there.
Justin and then Ryan, had recess while I was working with the first grader. Justin is on the right in blue.
Here is a picture of our friend Abel's son. He is in first grade and jump roping like a pro. A great athlete like his father. Abel plays soccer with Nat on Tuesdays and volleyball with both of us on Mondays.
