Boat Trip Around Lake Atitlan to San Pedro, San Juan, San Marcos

by Karen Dunn | October 17, 2010

Today we took a boat trip around the lake and visited San Pedro, San Juan and San Marcos.  I would have more pictures, but I forgot to put the memory disk in my camera.  I charged the camera though!

We had breakfast at Nick's Place right on the water.  Check out the water level of the lake in the pictures.  In the past two months, the lake has risen 4 meters, putting many restaurants, trees and docks under water.

San Pedro from the Water - see the hut in the water - we had b-fast to the left of that
After San Pedro, we headed to San Juan.  A very small town that doesn't have too much tourism.  We did find a cool shop called Lema, where we bought a basket for napkins and some hackysacks for the boys to juggle.  We spent about 30 minutes there and then went and had lunch in San Marcos at Fe.  I'm stuffed!
