Just outside of our house today, we found a beautiful bird.  At first we thought it was a wild bird, but then were told that it was a lost pet.

Our landlady wasn't too excited about us keeping a bird in the house (and I must admit I wasn't either, but I did have a weak moment and thought about keeping it when I saw how much the boys were enjoying it).  The boys enjoyed having a pet for a day and then we gave it away.

While we were at home playing with the bird, my father ventured off with Willie to photograph the cemeteries in Solola and Panajachel.  He was in heaven!
