by Karen Dunn | April 1, 2011
Today, I went on an amazing tour with my friend Andrea. Andrea works for Oxlajuj B'atz' - Thirteen Threads - Trece Hilos (http://www.thirteenthreads.org). This organization works with 20 different women's groups throughout Guatemala. Today we went to meet with the group in Chuacruz.
The tour started out at Oxlajuj B'atz' with a brief presentation on what the organization does. After the presentation, we headed to the market in Solola.
Driving out of Solola.
Arriving in Chuacruz.
The woman in Chuacruz gave us a nice demonstration of the weaving process.
fd They let us all try to weave. This is not easy!

After the demonstrations outside, we went into their community center and learned more about their group and then we had a chance to purchase some of their beautiful products.
The tour ended back at Oxlajuj B'atz' where they served us a delicious lunch.
Thanks Andrea!
